The product
SoftStone
Built Soft. Made Strong.
An innovative, seamless, poured-in-place rubber surfacing solution. G4 installs it: prep, mix, trowel, and finish.
Installation
The product and the install are the same job.
G4 installs SoftStone. The surface is mixed and troweled on site over the base that is already there. You are not buying bags and handing them to a separate crew.

Mix
EPDM granules and binder are mixed on the job for the blend you approved.

Trowel
The wearing course is troweled by hand so the thickness stays even.

Finish
Edges stop clean at the coping, the wall, and the joints that were detailed first.
The same pad
Concrete, then SoftStone.
One side-yard walkway, same camera. Worn asphalt first — then a seamless SoftStone overlay.

Before
Stained, cracked asphalt.

After
The same walk in SoftStone.

Built with purpose
Two layers. The rest follow the job.
Top coat and EPDM granules. The SBR cushion is optional. Concrete primer is used only over a concrete substrate. The base can be asphalt, concrete, pavers, crushed and compacted stone, or an existing surface.

01
UV Stable Top Coat
Locks in color and shields the wearing surface from sun, pool chemistry, and weather.

02
Premium EPDM Granules
The visible finish — a seamless, porous wearing course in your chosen color blend.

Optional
SBR Rubber Cushion
Optional comfort layer of shredded SBR granules, the same cushion used under playground surfacing. Specify it when the ground should absorb impact — pool decks, patios, walkways. Leave it out for a thinner wearing course on driveways, garage floors, and steps.

Concrete only
Concrete Primer
Used only when SoftStone goes over concrete. It is not part of the system on asphalt, pavers, crushed stone, or an existing surface.

Optional
Base Surface
Optional base. SoftStone can be installed over asphalt, concrete, pavers, crushed and compacted stone, or an existing surface.
Where it goes
- Pool decks
- Patios
- Walkways
- Sidewalks
- Steps
- Driveways
- Garage floors
- Plazas
A trowel-down overlay. The base is optional: asphalt, concrete, pavers, crushed and compacted stone, or an existing surface. Sound bases stay. Cracked or pitted pavement is repaired first, then covered — no tear-out when the base still has life in it. The cushioned build is the one for bare feet and all-day standing. Without it, the granule course is the finish for drives, garage floors, and steps.
The finish
Porous, seamless, and made to be walked on wet.
