Consulting
Surfacing systems, specified with the chemistry in mind.
G4 LLC has worked in polymer solutions since 2008. We help owners, architects, and contractors choose, detail, and install the right outdoor wearing surface — SoftStone, a hard-court repair and color system, or an honest recommendation of something else.
Who we sit with
The room where the spec is decided.
Architects & Landscape Architects
Finish samples, CSI-ready language, and detailing at the edges that usually get value-engineered away.
Owners & Developers
Clear scope, lifecycle cost against pavers and coatings, and a surface that photographs like the rendering.
Contractors & Installers
Product knowledge, mix and placement guidance, and a partner who has been in polymer systems since 2008.
Scope of work
From the slab to the last trowel pass.
Engagements can be a half-day site walk or a full specification package. We size the work to the decision in front of you.
- 01
System Specification
We write the spec with you — thickness, cushion, granule, top coat, and detailing at drains, edges, and transitions — so the surface that is bid is the surface that performs.
- 02
Substrate Evaluation
Concrete and asphalt fail in predictable ways. We assess soundness, moisture, slope, and drainage before a bag of rubber is opened, and tell you plainly what the slab can and cannot carry.
- 03
Color & Design Consulting
Ten standard blends, and custom mixes when the architecture asks for it. We sample on site so the color you approve is the color that is poured — not a printed swatch.
- 04
Installation Oversight
Poured-in-place systems live or die in the mix and the trowel. We support crews with method, QC checkpoints, and finish criteria so the work matches the spec.
- 05
Existing Surface Review
Cracked decks, failing coatings, and tired stamped concrete. We diagnose what is salvageable as a base and what should be removed, then map a SoftStone overlay or a different system if that is the honest answer.
- 06
Maintenance Programs
A seamless surface is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. We outline cleaning, seasonal care, and when a top-coat refresh is worth doing — so the finish lasts the life you paid for.
The product, when it is the right product
SoftStone is what we pour. Consulting is how we decide.
Not every deck wants rubber. We will say so. When a seamless EPDM system is the correct answer — traction, comfort, overlay over a tired slab, a color that belongs to the building — we take you from sample to specification to a surface that lasts.

Send the drawings, the photos of the failed coating, or just the address. We will tell you what we need next.
